Tell the Department of Revenue: Stop the Comcast Con

Comcast is trying to avoid paying tens of millions of dollars in taxes by taking advantage of a tax loophole meant for Google.

The company is demanding a tax break that it doesn’t need and doesn’t deserve: In an attempt to qualify for this multi-million dollar tax break, Comcast has gone so far as to develop a service that no customers will actually use.

The company’s scheme has already been rejected by the Department of Revenue once, and now Comcast is appealing for a new ruling. If Comcast is successful, Oregonians would miss out on tens of millions of tax dollars that could go toward addressing the state’s underfunded schools or health care programs.

Comcast can afford to pay its taxes. And Oregon shouldn’t be giving them another tax break. Sign the petition to tell the Director of the Oregon Department of Revenue to stop the Comcast Con!
